My name is Diane Proulx and I very excited to be your Grade 2 teacher this year.
I grew up in Manotick, way, way back when it was just a small little village. I found this school picture of me a couple of summers ago from grade 2 (I think) because I know I started wearing my glasses in grade 3. I still live just south of Manotick with my husband Paul. We have a 10 year old shitzu/maltese mixed dog named Daisy, who we adopted two years ago. She has been a wonderful and happy addition to our family.
We have 2 sons and they both went to school at St. Leonard and St. Mark's. Our oldest son, Daniel lives in Osgoode with his wife Rebecca and their black lab named Riggins. After 2 years of Covid cancelled weddings, they finally got married in June and it was a wonderful celebration. Our youngest son, Thomas lives in Russell with his wife Jaclyn, and my two granddaughters - Clara and Emilia (Emmy). They also have a dog named Romo.
This summer when I wasn't spending time with Clara and Emmy, I relaxed by reading a lot of books and paddleboarding in the early mornings, it is my favourite time of the day and the water is very calm and peaceful (and there aren't a lot of boats:).
I can't wait to learn all about you, your families and your favourite things this year!
Here are some pictures of my family.
